JLPT N5 Exam Preparation · Last updated: June 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the JLPT N5 Exam Preparation app ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
The App does not require you to create an account or enter your name or email to use it. We collect the following data:
- Anonymous user identifier — a Firebase Anonymous Authentication ID automatically generated to associate your learning data with your device. It does not identify you personally.
- Learning data — exam progress, answer history, weak-question records, and suspended-session data, used to let you continue studying across sessions.
- Usage data — in-app events such as screen views and exam start/finish, collected for analytics.
- Diagnostics — crash reports used to fix bugs.
- Purchase data — purchase plan, date, and restore status for managing in-app purchases.
- Contact information — only if you choose to email us through the "Contact Us" feature, in which case your email address and message are sent via your own mail app.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide core app functionality (saving and continuing your learning progress).
- To understand how the App is used and improve it (analytics).
- To diagnose and fix crashes and bugs.
- To manage in-app purchases and restorations.
- To respond to your support inquiries.
3. Third Parties We Share Data With
We use the following service providers, who process data on our behalf:
- Google (Firebase) — Authentication, Firestore (database), Analytics, and Crashlytics.
- RevenueCat — in-app purchase management.
- Apple — in-app purchase processing.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your data for cross-app tracking (Apple ATT).
4. Where Your Data Is Stored
Learning data is stored in Google Cloud (Cloud Firestore). Data may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence.
5. Deleting Your Data
You can delete all of your learning data at any time from within the App: open Settings → Delete All Data. This permanently removes your learning progress, answer history, weak-question records, and suspended sessions, and deletes your anonymous account. This action cannot be undone. Your purchases are not deleted and can be restored with your Apple ID using Restore Purchases.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California, and the Act on the Protection of Personal Information in Japan), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. You can delete your data using the in-app feature described above, or contact us for assistance.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
